Front flange square attic vent install: Example: Slide the square louvered vent into a wall opening or casing. Attachment option is using short screws behind the louver faces through the vent wall to snug it up or through the vent nail fin. Then seal it.
Aluminum screen: This is a silver color screen designed to protect against more violent insect pests. 1/8” aluminum mesh screen.
The frame we use for our vents is called a “Rail System”. This is a full aluminum tube for the louvers to attach to and wrap around.
Other manufacturers use a “Track System”. This primitive system uses a C-cap. The louver ends are cut straight and then pop riveted into the C-cap.
We prefer the rail due to the security and stability it provides for the home attic vent frame and louvers.
Instead of butt cutting the louver ends straight, we notch the ends to wrap around the Rail System locking them in place permanently.
In addition, we use a “Wind Shear Buffer” in all our vents. As the wind swoops across a square attic vent, it will vibrate the louvers.
Aluminum is the only type of vent we manufacture. It does not rot, rust or even need painted. Attic vents come in primer white. But can be painted to any color of choice.
All home attic vents ship via Fed Ex to all the continental 48 states. If you live outside the US, call 901.281.2887 and we can set up shipping arrangements.
