Order the opening size for your gable vent. All gable vents are manufactured 1/2 inch smaller than the measures ordered. This allows for an easy fit to the opening size.

Midtown home but never registered as historic so I could put vinyl siding on it. I am on the homeowner's budget so I am limited even though I would have loved to do more with the home. One frontÿgable was painted similar to this vent cover. It would have looked stupid if I just put up a new piece of wood and painted it or just left it unfinished. I get her one of these in her colors. It really finished the job nicely.ÿ
